9th Workshop on Power Line Communications: Power Line Communications Enabling the Smart Grid

The 9th Workshop on Power Line Communications (WSPLC 15) will be held at the Alpen-Adria Universität Klagenfurt on 21-22 September 2015.
The workshop covers relevant topics in PLC with emphasis on smart grid and smart metering. WSPLC 15 is supported by the IEEE Technical Committee on PLC (TC-PLC) and IEEE ISPLC Steering Committee.
WSPLC 15 will bring together academia and industry professionals as well as students and researchers to present and discuss ongoing work on existing and future power line communication (PLC) systems, applications, standardization activities with emphasis, but not limited, to: PLC for smart grids and for smart metering; PLC standards; PLC requirements, coexistence, interoperability; Test and characterization; Physical layer aspects; MAC and network layer aspects; Measurements and modeling; Hardware implementations; Narrow band, broad band and ultra wide band PLC systems; PLC applications: distribution grid, in-home, in-vehicle, industrial.
The workshop will feature a number of talks from renowned experts including 3 of PRIME’s principal member companies: STMicroelectronics, Sagemcom and Atmel.
